The Story Behind

Honoring Evansville

In the mid-to-late 1800s, Evansville's foundries transformed raw iron into something essential. Today, The Foundry Room carries that tradition forward—transforming quality ingredients into classic American dishes, reimagined with the same dedication to craft that built this city. Our kitchen is our forge. Our tables are where connections are cast.

Where History Lives

In the heart of downtown Evansville, The Foundry Room stands on ground that has always brought people together. Long before the hotels, this was public parkland—a gathering place for the community. Later, the Executive Inn rose on this site, drawing crowds for conventions and entertainment. Icons like Elvis Presley, Bob Hope, and Little Richard performed here, making this corner a destination for celebration and unforgettable nights. Through parks, hotels, and now our dining room, this spot has been about one thing: gathering. Today, we honor that legacy.

What’s Cookin’

River traditions meet foundry-fire flavor. Expect our signature fried chicken, blackened catfish over wild rice, and ribeyes that don't need introduction. We're talking smoked wings with peach bourbon glaze, short ribs with port-cherry reduction, and cornbread that tastes like home. And our cocktail menu? Just as thoughtfully crafted as everything that comes out of our kitchen.
